By Ahmad Amirali

‘Sir, may I go to toilet? Sir, may I go to drink water? Sir, my head is aching. I am not feeling well; can I go outside for a bit?’ These are the excuses which normally students give you when they unable to concentrate on the lesson or, to be specific, get bored. There are multiple reasons why children get bored in school, such as not being sufficiently challenged or simply not feeling motivated by the subject matter being discussed in the classroom. While asking reasons from parents about their children’s boredom in the classroom, some responded that the content is way too easy for their children; therefore, they get bored. Others believe that teacher might not be presented the material in a way that student would get engaged. Both reasons are, no doubt, possible but these are not the only reasons.

Let’s concentrate on ‘what I want to become in my future?’, again there are two scenarios of this question; am I passionate enough about my dream or not? Both the situations are challenging to decide, and therefore, mostly, students go for the second option: what others want me to become in my future? Nowadays, students are so engrossed in preparing their finals that they hardly even looking after their health. Continue reading “Finals Stress | 6 Ways to Reduce Anxiety During Final Exams”

How Dancing Impacts Students Academic Performance

How Dancing Impacts Students Academic Performance
By Ahmad Amirali

Last week, I experimented an activity with students that include dancing. Usually, I start my class session with the recap from the previous session, and for that, I use PowerPoint and animated games and review videos. Use of tech and animations in lesson activities is one of my strength as I use it heavily in my classrooms. From animated maps to the 3d paper model of the globe. However, my students now easily predict that they will be going to witness or experience new animation or related activity. Continue reading “How Dancing Impacts Students Academic Performance”
