Student Goals: How I Plan My Future? |Let’s Draw your Future

Today, I asked my students (14 to 15 years) about their career plans? What do you guys want to become? One student replied, ‘I want to become a doctor, maybe a surgeon, another replied, ‘I want to become an aviator or aircraft pilot, but I don’t know whether I achieve my goals or not. Usually, students find it difficult to plan their future goals at this age due to external factors such as family pressure, financial constraints, friend circle or peer pressure, etc. I believe students at this level dangled between two scenarios; what I want to become in my future and what others want me to become in my future. Let’s concentrate on ‘what I want to become in my future?’ again, there are two scenarios of this question; am I passionate enough about my dream or not? Both situations are challenging to decide, so students go for the second option: what others want me to become in my future?
